Since my time as an undergraduate at Oberlin, I have cultivated a love of teaching and coaching. I work with singers to help find their most free, expressive vocalism.  No matter the genre, great singing comes from a thorough understanding of one's instrument and of the music itself. My students are often cross-trained in classical, pop and musical theater styles and we incorporate movement and ear training into lessons depending on each individual's needs. My goal is to bring out each singer's unique voice, to celebrate their strengths and build well-rounded, self-sufficient singers who are devoted to their craft.

My students have placed in the top percentiles of their State Musical Associations, have participated in All-State choirs, have earned leading and supporting roles in school and community theater productions and have been accepted at institutions such as Berkeley, the Glenn-Korff School of Music and Interlochen.
